Weekend Insider: What do you want to see out of Sony Insider?

Are you glad its Friday yet? I am, I guess, but it doesn’t mean I get a break – there is always new Sony news seemingly every hour of the day. A feature we will be doing each weekend is the “Weekend Insider,” where we ask you, the reader, a question about Sony or the site. We would really like to hear from you. So, as stated in the title,

What do you want to see out of Sony Insider? How can we make it the best resource possible?

Forums are coming. Podcasts are coming.

    I agree with Steve, a forum would be a nice addition. Perhaps merging the atraclife forums into the sonyinsider ones and just making it a category into the forums than just stand alone.

    Of course any insider information regarding new products is a must like on the old atraclife blog, can be hints or just comments what might be coming. The site’s design is nice but a bit corporate looking, maybe it’s just the main image at top that is not fitting into the design of the site?

    other than that, fantastic job so far.

    As Chris said, we have already identified a forum as a desirable addition to the site. I’m not 100% sure what others think but speaking entirely selfishly, I am in favor of making any new forum a complete clean break with AtracLife. What came before was unique, but I think we should take this opportunity to start from scratch.

    But keep the comments coming – we are interested in hearing what you think…
    For example:
    - What do people think about the podcast idea?
    - Would a reviews section be appreciated?

    I never meant moving the atrac forum over to here, I meant adding an atrac section for the people since there are still users who use atrac devices and of course japanese sony mp3 players still have atrac. I listen to some podcasts from time to time, but only for music; then it also depends what the podcasts will be about. A reviews section would be welcome, possibly including reviews from members as well.

    lets not ditch Atrac all together ,it will be nice to have a sub forum for atrac users here as well ,but just like Atraclife where there is a link for MDFC ,so that will be nice also .

    I really enjoy this site. It has more unpublished material and news than I have found anywhere else on the web. I can’t wait to see how much Sony Insider stays on top of the whole “Downloadable Content” VS. “Blue Ray”. How Sony decided to deal with this, could have a huge impact on Sony’s future. Regardless of what they do, or how they do it. I think it is a safe bet to say that Sony Insider will tell us first. Keep it up.
