HTC Touch Diamond, HTC Touch Pro, Samsung i900 Omnia & Sony Ericsson X1 Camera Comparison
I’m not going to lie – I use a HTC (8525) phone, and have enjoyed it immensely. Windows Mobile 6 is a great platform but has been overshadowed as of late by the iPhone. Despite the fact that they are both impressive in features, Windows Mobile 6 is superior in functionality, just not design. Anyway, Sony Ericsson surprised me recently when they announced the Xperia X1 smartphone, which uses a custom build of WM6 instead of their usual Symbian operating system. the::unwired was lucky enough to directly compare the camera quality of the X1 (3.2 megapixels) amongst its true competitors from HTC and Samsung, and the results are disappointing. There is one important fact to remember while reading this comparison, and that is the only production quality phone in this mix is the HTC Touch Diamond, while the HTC Touch Pro, Samsung SGH-i900 Omnia and Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 are pre-production devices with a non-final ROM built. Final ROMs may produce better quality.
