Anil Sethi Appointed President and Region Head of Sony Ericsson India

Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications announces today that Anil Sethi has been appointed to the newly created position of President and Region Head of Sony Ericsson India with immediate effect. Anil joins Sony Ericsson after almost 8 years with Sony Canada in Toronto, where his most recent position was Senior Vice President of Broadcast & Business Solutions and Systems Integration. Prior to this role, he completed a number of high profile international assignments within the Sony Group including, senior business and commercial roles in Europe, India, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. During this time Anil established and managed Sony’s first production facility in India and was closely involved in setting up the Sony Gulf regional operations, with its hub office in Dubai, and the Sony India organisation, headquartered in Delhi.

Commenting on Anil’s appointment, Sony Ericsson President Dick Komiyama said, “Today’s appointment underlines the growing strategic importance of India for Sony Ericsson. We are continuing to build our operations in this market – last year we established a manufacturing presence through partners and opened our own R&D unit in Chennai – and one of Anil’s focus areas going forward will be to drive our growth plan in India.”

“I am delighted to return to India and bring home my international business experience. The Indian marketplace is exciting and of strategic importance to Sony Ericsson. Our manufacturing presence and R&D in India is a reflection of our commitment to this great country and its growing consumer base.” said Anil.

Anil will be based at the Sony Ericsson offices in Delhi.

    Nokia is and will be the leader and sony is supposed to be no 2. With handsets like this it will not even find the last place.

    I will never buy sony products in my life now. Shame. A co. with such a big image has landed in such a position by manufacturing cheap china made handsets. Better sell off the co.

    I have bought sony erricson W302 mobile phone for approx Rs. 7200/- from Vijay sales, Borivli (W) in April 2009. In the first month the battery was dead. We went to customer care. They admitted the same and replace the battery. In the second month new problem arised. The phone network goes off again and again and the screen goes down. When approached to Vijay sales, the sales executive said they are not responsible and added that it is the company's responsibility. I will refer the matter to consumer court for this.

    Mr.Sethi Its a loss to Sony Ericssion Brand when my mobile phone has already been submitted to Sony Service center for repair that too when the engineer claimed the phone is not repirable. Also I have aksed for replacement of this phone (C-510). But nothing seems to be working here. Please look in to this matter as a matter of urgency as i have used this phone only for 10-15 daya as bought in May and begining june that phone is in Service center till day. Please contact me for further details as I have been badly harresed on buying product from Sony Ericssion.

    This mail is in regards to inform to you that iAMIT NAGARKOTI, hsr recently bought Sony Ericsson Model K790i i.e hardly seven months old. I am facing many problems while using it , inspite of giving the phone for repair to Sony Ericsson service center in Noida sec-18 for 2 months approx.

    Some of the issues are as follows :
    1. cellphone was given to service for software upgrading however when i collected it ,I saw they formatted my cell and created one more problem i.e call is being automatically picked up.
    2.Again i submitted my cellphone for the issue of call automatically being picked, they renewed my old job sheet.
    They said they will send the cell to there head office in Mathura road for change of motherboard and asked me to collect after 15 days .However i got it back after 1 month.
    3. But the irony now is that the problem of automatic call getting picked up is still there with many other issues like phone getting hanged up, voice not coming clearly,Keypad not working , joystick not working. i.e the cell not working at all.
    4.Now ,they have again taken the cell saying that they are going to send it to chennai head office for the change of motherboard .
    Due to all these issues, i am facing many problems in my job too.
    And moreover they do not pick there phones when called and if picked they keep on transfering it here and there. We visit them they dont respond properly. On asking the status they just rudely say phone has not come yet that's it. The name of your employee are SHWETA and MR. SHREE in sector -18 service center noida, who are looking into this issue from starting.
    I dont think this phone would work properly now, looking at the situation . I have only used it for 2 months ,rest its with your service center only.
    Kindly look into the matter and do needful.
    I would request to kindly replace my phone as soon as possible. Looking forward for immediate response.

    I was a genuine Sony Ericsson Phone User but that has all been changed for now…

    It is purely because of

    1) Poor poor Service
    2) Lies being told by both Customer Care executives and Service Center Executives

    I had purchased a Sony Ericsson C510 dated 20th April 2009, within 2 months of its use it develped Camera Problem, I hence submitted the phone to Service Centre on 06th June 2009. Till date i.e 07th July i have not received my phone back….

    I have contacted the Service centre and Customer care on a daily basis but they have been giving me wrong informations and misleading me by saying that the phone is ready and i should come and pick it up from the service centre. When i visit the service centre to my utter disgrace not that the phone is not ready but they still have not received the part…

    If you&nbs p;cant repair the part, pls dont tell lies……

    It is only a 2 months old when it became defective and i have gone through mental agony because of your customer care executives cooking up false stories…

    I am not going to be satisfied with this phone anymore….pls replace this phoen and get me a new one or give me my money back..i will go and purchase phoen from some other manufacturer…never again from sony…

    I will not recommend sony to anyone..not just that,..i will tell all my friends..never to recomment sony ericsson to anyone…

    Dear Sir / Madam,

    I have bought W580i. Ever since I have bought it, I have been facing problems including hanging, 3-4 times a day, when I call someone, can not hear voice from other end. I gave it to service center 4-5 times. Mobile has stayed with service center for almost 8-9 weeks on & off. STill problem persist. Last time, I gave mobile to service center in 1st week of August. Warratny was to expire on 15th August. I got it repaired 2 days back. Service center guy said he replaced motherboard 3 times. But still problem is there…same problem…hanging, 3-4 times a day, when I call someone, can not hear voice from other end. Music works sometimes only. Service center guy told me 4-5 times in last 4 months that there is problem with SIM card. I have changed SIM card 3-4 times of same and diff tele-com service provider. STill problem is there. Now servce center guys says he wont provide service as handset warranty has expired. Problem is that warranty expired when mobile was wth service center. And, after receiving mobile from service center, problem still exist. THis is really irritating. If I dont get satisfactory service, I will soon go to consumer court.

    This is irrisponsible behavior from company. Based on this experience, I have decided never to buy SOny product in future, though I have been die-hard Sony loyal customer untill now.

    Awaiting positive response. I have spent Rs.10,000 on this handset and this horrible product & service experience i irritating after spending Rs.10,000.

    Then a work order slip No. SE 309 RJK 13224 was issued and assurance for delivery with in week time.
    On confirmation from your service centre I was reached to your centre from Faridabad (Haryana) to Janakpuri, New Delhi on 03.11.2009 for taking my phone. But they ask that your moble is under repairing and another one week or 10 days time to be expected.This type of answer showing that the company is not interested to provide the proper service to the customer.

    So you are therefore requested to kindly arrange to given the delivery of my above said Moble set
    in good working condition. I hope an early action will be taken from your side.

    I bought Xperia X10 on 22 May 2010. On 24 July 2010 , I realised that the phone which was taking a long time to charge earlier too, had stopped charging completely. I took the phone to Sony Ericsson service centre at Andheri West. I was told that the phone had a manufacturing defect and since I took the phone after 2 months of purchasing, one of the part will be replaced. They said that if I had come within 7 days of purchase, I would have got a replacement phone.

    When I did not agree to changing parts of the brand new phone, I was sent to Vikhroli centre which is their main service centre.

    At the Vikhroli office, after a long wait, I could finally meet Ms Ambika who was absolutely not approachable and was not ready to listen to the issue. No direction to any senior person was given.They took my phone for repairs on Saturday committing that they will call me on Saturday evening or latest Monday to let me know how long will it take to 'change the motherboard'. If it requires complete motherboard to be replaced, how much will it cost the company to replace the phone !

    I have a few simple principles when it comes to personal as well as official relationships. I usually expect the same from others.
    1) I do not make commitments without an intention to fulfil them. Once a commitment is made I try to ensure that it is fulfilled.
    2) In an exceptional situation, if I am not able to fulfil a commitment, I communicate with the other person the reason for the same and ensure that I provide an alternative solution.
    Apparently it is unreasonable to expect this from your service centre. I am yet to know when will I get my phone repaired.

    I don't want to use the same Xperia instrument in any case ! Please refund my cost back or I need a new instrument in good working condition. I want this issue settled amicably. The time,energy and stress that I have putin for this issue has already crossed the cost of the Xperia.

    The message that I have got from SonyEricsson on the absolute disownership of their malfunctioned instrument and the take it or leave it approach has indeed been a very bad experience. Not what we expect from a brand of such a repute !

    I have a feeling today that discontinuing with the IPhone or Nokia was a mistake. I am now on a vodafone plan with unlimited data plan and no phone to support the same!

    I am not holding my breath or looking at my Blackberry/Phone to see if I have got a revert from your team However I would appreciate a revert from you by end of the day if it is possible.

    I have purchased one handset of Sony Ericsson Model G-900 on 28th November 2009. From the very first day i am complained to dealer that phone is not giving proper backup. he gave me Service center address at faridabad Near Delhi. I took my set over there, Service people told me that they dont have Battery with them so withing 15 days it is expected to come so come after 15 days.,
    Same story repeated for 8 months continuesly but every tie service center refuses for the availability of battery with them. then on 3rd July my phone stops working and again i took my hand set to the service center. They told me that its touch screen gets defective and is not available with them. Come after 15-20 days and make it repair. I said them to deposite my hand set with them so that they can repair it as they will get the part. But till today it is not repaired. In the mean while i spoke to Mr. Harpar. He promised me to get a solution within 2-3 days but not he also started not responding my phone call and making me fool from last 20 days. then i contacted at 011-40759603 to Jyoti but she also didnt gave me solotion. then she transfered to Rachna and even then i didnt get any solution.
    Now i dont want my set get repaired i want my money back only. this is extream of my patience. no one is ready to help their customers.
    Kindly give me refund of my hand set. i am getting be fool from last 9 months from the company people.
    This is not expected by such a global brand but it happand with me by your company.
    Kindly help me and give my refund.

    We have deposit our hand set model W705 in varanasi service center dt.29/5/2010 with blue trough not working problem &. received U100 new hand set against W705.

    But after 10 little day es we found new problem in this handset.

    Vol. key and upper key paid not working & deposited the new hand set again in service center

    After trying to get through to the service center we finally took the help of Mr. Avinash(Incharge of service center) He give me a stand by hand set .& told me some part is required which is not available in HO.
    I am afraid this is not acceptable and it would seem that they are desperate for business and this is one way of harassing the customer
    You know we are using Sony ericsson for a number of years. tell you that we are very fair. We too are in customer service and we value our customers. This is a harassment and not acceptable. Very unprofessional way to behave.

    Please address this issue because it does not bode well for the SONY ERICSSON reputation to have a service center which is so unscrupulous. This is the 7th Sony Ericsson's phone we have bought in the last 4 years and until now we have had no complaints. People always buy hand set after considering the after sales service The service center here leaves a lot to be desired and we are very unhappy with sony erisson .

    We can not take back this hand set and also request to all of you please replaced our hand set with other highir model like X10 mini witch is not very costly with U100 because last two month we go in service center mnimum 10 times and expance of Rs 2000/.
    This is the limit of wait.
    Please solved my issue in next 2 working dayes othervise i am ready to go for consumer court .

    This is Johnson from Chennai crying with your sonyericsson C510 Mobile, You know I bought this mobile on Jun 27 2009 and it was pleasant and lovely to use the slick and stylish C510 but that was only for few months, I was having a problem with my handset about not being charged properly and I need to hold the adaptor connector into the handset for some time in order to power it up since there was some fault on the board so I gave the handset for service on 25 Nov 2009 ( Work order # SE309AGR17611) and got the board replaced within a few days and days passed and within a year I had the same problem with my C510 and again I gave the handset for service on 19 Jun 2010 ( Work order # SE310AGR21369)…What a surprise another board was replaced in my handset for the same problem….
    I called their customer service right next day when I got my mobile back from service and reported the problem as the warranty of my handset got expired and they said they can’t help in any ways…what I asked is to extend the warranty for the handset as I got the board replaced within a year. But they said No…No…No… At max they can provide me a 15 Days service warranty and if the same problem reports again they can do something…No wonders the same problem occurred again after 20days…But what to do I BOUGHT A SONYERICSSION..Now Iam using a Nokia N73 which I bought 2Yrs ago with No problems till now….And this is to let you know people we are using a Samsung S3310 which I bought the same day with my useless sonyericssion and till now there is no problems and we have other nokia handsets at home which is 3 to 4 years old with no problems…
    From this time I will never ever buy a sonyericssion product for me or my family and friends…For Sure…Thanks for providing such a good customer service and giving me a Great worthless product call SONYERICSSION C510…………….Bye….

    I am very surprised and upset with the services of Sony Ericsson in India, I never had this kind of experience with any muti-national company earlier. It will take few days for this letter to reach you and I sure my problem would have not resolved. You may use this feed back in a positive way or put this in dustbin below your desk.
    I submitted my handset T-715 (under warranty) to your service centre in Munirka, New Delhi, India and they gave me the receiving of the same on a visiting card stating that their computer is not working. I got the set back but the problem was not solved and submitted the set again on 14-9-10 and I got a hand made receipt from them. This receipt does not carry any Workorder No. or Date or my phone ID No., I called them and made them aware of legal consequences if they did not give me a refernce No. and they they furnished me the Work order No. as SE310HRE10209.
    I checked the status from the workshop after 2 days and got a time of 10-15 days for the repair of the same. I called your call centre and as per their records the set was submitted yesterday. Call centre need 4-5 days to get the status from the service centre whereas I already have the status. and After 4-5 days they are going to give me a new status of time required (as per your call centre). Is this the working of Sony Company ??, I don;t thik so because I am using lot of Sony products and the service has been always fantastic.
    As per the attitude of the staff of Sony Ericsson call centre in India, specially Mr. Jitender the team leader, whom I soke to is not willing to help the customer and just trying to buy time. I am very disappointed and surprised at the working of Service Centre and the related staff by Sony Ericsson company in India.
    In case you have the authority of sorting the things out, kindly look into the matter and get my mobile functunal.
    I have writter an E-mail to Delhi office through their website but did not get any reply till date. I have even sent a letter to Sweden and awaiting reply or action. From : Pradeep Khanna 9811040054

    Hi,
    I have spoken to few people who suffered at the hands of Sony Ericsson and the conclusion is that they do not reply on the mail. If you happen to speak to someone in person, he may try to help you to get the phone rectified. Forget the replacement with a new one.

    Dear Sir/Madam,
    I had Purchased A Sony Ericcson E10iHandset Form THE MOBILE STORE last month 16th Nov’ 10.
    The Handset is Faulty. The Battery of the Handset gets Drained very Fast. If completely Charged in the Morning the Battery is over within7 to 8 Hrs.
    I went to the Sony Ericcson Authorised Service center, with my complaint.
    The Repaired Handset was also Faulty,
    Like this I gave 3 times to service center, still i am getting same problem.

    I have got Harrased with this issue.
    I want the replacement for my handset with a different Model, as i no longer have trust on that Model.

    My name is Mahesh K and I am using Sony Ericsson P1i Mobile IMEI : 357033012968053. Facing no Display issue and given it to Sony Ericsson Service center
    “Ccom Services” Thane, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India on 28th Oct 2010. After 15 Days of follow up they given me estimate of Rs. 2700/- for changing display connector and I approved the same.

    After approval they haven’t returned my mobile and whenever I called up they say’s we are doing calibration of it we will handover same to you. So I call up Sony Support on 11 Dec 2010 10:26 AM [1800 11 1800 (Toll free) – Shrishti ] and registered compliant Complaint ID: 89116797. But after 10 Days no update about compliant, so I call up “Ccom Services” Thane on 20th Dec 2010 for update Mr. “ Vaibhav More said that work in progress when I asked more deeply where is my mobile he said they send it to Sony Chennai repairing center on 18/12/2010 and not provided his Manager number.

    On Sony Support on 21st Dec 2010 10:17 AM Coordinator Minakshi given answer that work in progress they don’t know more than this and she can’t provide any Contact details of Sony ericsson escalation matrix other than a email id questions.in@support.sonyericsson.com.

    Kindly look into this and resolve this case ASAP.

    All ready complaint escalated to Email ID questions.in@support.sonyericsson.com on 21st Dec 2010 but still they are not provided me the status.

    Please read this…THE WORST SERVICE CENTER IN THE WORLD

    This Neeli Dilip Kumar from visakhapatnam…..who
    purchased a sony ericsson U5i handset last year nov 4th, a day before
    DIWALI…i got a problem with this handset on jan 30-2010and submitted in
    the nearby sony service center (BRIGHT SOLUTIONS) on jan 31st-2011…You
    just imagine yourself what kind of service center u r maintaining in
    INDIA , that i have’nt got my mobile till now which is almost 2 months
    over….within two months three mother boards are placed IMEI
    :359387033227594, 359387032330472, and 012585001596903 ..these three
    mother boards are scrap boards which you people are replacing in the
    mobiles and giving back to customers…hatsoff for your deception..and
    the maintenance of your service center..

    i came to know that i have done a great mistake in buying
    a sony ericsson mobile with poor servicing center, i dont want to
    waste my time anymore…the way your representatives speaking with us
    , clearly states that whatever the customer executive says is the
    great deception VEDA for the customers..the ridiculous answers given
    by your executives represents how well u people have trained them to
    cheat the customers…asking us to wait for 15 days more , 2 days more
    again 2 days more blah blah blah..DONT try to MISMERIZE THE
    CUTOMERS…NEVER THINK CUSTOMERS ARE FOOLS TO LISTEN TO YOU PEOPLE

    My point to this mail is Please send my mobile back, i
    don’t need any servicing to be provided, LET me place that mobile in
    front of the media and show to the public how well the mobile is and
    the servicing provided with the proofs..I lost the trust on your
    company and cant get a assurance that my mobile works well in
    future…and i lost my respect in front of my brother as i have gifted
    this mobile to him…which my family members are making fun of me
    because of this damn mobile….

    This is Bala from hosur  iam using your sony ericcson u20 i ( xperia mini pro) from the day one i have been walking to your service center regularly for the battery back up and auto restart . it almost an year over still i have not got any positive reply from your side and again i have send mail to your customer support center and they ask me to give it again to the service center and i have to forward the workorder number and IMEI number to them so almost a month over . the worst part is your call center peoples are giving only reference number to say that sir please wait for 7 working days after 7 days if we call then again they will say please wait for 7 working days.

    anybody can imagine like by paying Rs 17000 to get  which will  not even work for 3 hours. 

    Now the only issue is i want the replacement this time iam not ready to take with the same answer sir sorry

IF THE SET WAS SO FAULTY, WHY DON’T YOU REPLACE MY HANDSET. I CANT EXPECT SUCH TYPE OF SERVICE, QUALITY, & PRODUCT FROM A GLOBALLY RENOWNED ORGANISATION LIKE SONY ERICSSON. TILL NOW, MY SET HAS SPEND MORE THAN 60 DAYS IN SERVICE CENTRE, WHO WILL TAKE RESPONSIBILITY OF THIS LAPSED WARRANTY TIME…
    THE SERVICE GUYS (ACCEL CARE CENTRE, PUNE ARE TOO PATHETIC, THEY ARE NON COPERATIVE & ALSO DONT BOTHER TO PICK PHONE. MOSTLY THEIR PHONE IS UNREACHEABLE)
    Currently i am too pissed off, & every time i realised mistake, which i did by not purchasing NOKIA

    Please find the scan copy and the workorder number as you know you have stopped supporting this phone when first time I have send this phone to your service center it was returned from the e-star by saying that we have stoped supporting this phone at that time my workorder number was se31279410200. When I asked what I will do of this set if you are not getting the part of it now I asked them why you have not buy back this phone from the market if you have stopeed supporting it they have no answer for it however they have told me that they will not replace this set when I asked Mr. Abhinav that can he mail me this that you will not replace this set he has promised to mail me this however I am still waiting for his email. I would request you to look into this matter and make my set replaced I would be very greatful to you.
