Firmware Update: NW-A828/A829 v1.02

Sony has updated the firmware for its NW-A828/NW-A829 Walkman. Firmware update v1.02 is a rather small update and only has one improvement. Sony says that the v1.02 firmware update improves bluetooth connections, so hopefully users should see less drop-outs with their bluetooth headphones. You may download the firmware update here.

    i think it is too late for a comment here, but i have a nwz a828 and i was very intrested in frmware updates. i have the 1.01 and i will try this one, although a never use the bluetooth option.

    i would be much more interested in something to, for example, support more video formats, like the new walkman. i presume there is a software limitation, more than a hardware queston.

    what do you think? do you see someting like that possible?

    do you know if it is possible to do modifications to it? i would like to modify some easy details…

    Hi I have an A828 and when i want to listen to more than one folder in suffle mode just dont know what to do.

    hello I tried to install the new firmware I have poid, he says no device found

    NIMA,

    If you would like to hear from more folders/albums in shuffle mode, you do not require any firmware update, do the following (Here I am assuming that you are already playing the songs in shuffle mode):

    go to Settings->music settings->playback range

    Under playback range, select the option “All Range”.

    Now you will be able to play all the songs in shuffle mode.
