After all that work, "oh, let's put a SHORT CORD cord on them." Then you have to purchase an additional, annoying, female ended extension cable, which always develops a short in the connection.

A short in the connection? I would think, if anything, it would add slightly more resistance due to the extended cable length, and even then it would be an ohm or two.

All of this new design and then they put a SHORT CORD on them (less than 4 feet long.) Why does Sony put a SHORT CORD on their headphones ? does anybody know? It's an executive decision they make. After all that work, "oh, let's put a SHORT CORD cord on them." Then you have to purchase an additional, annoying, female ended extension cable, which always develops a short in the connection.
