GRUNDIG is'nt Grundig anymore... it's a sad story about a company well known for the high quality products over many decades... at the end, there are only good memories and the brand name which was sold-out.....

The same thing recently happened to BLAUPUNKT, another company well known for their early and high quality products... They have given up TV's abt 15 years ago after a deal with GRUNDIG.. they continued indeed with car radio and navigation systems... now the brand name was also sold-out and the knew owner is only interested in the brand name... but what you might get is not what you might think it is...

I agree, GRUNDIG is NOT the same german Grundig anymore. Now it's just the name bought from a turkish company - and as you said:

The quality is poor and cheap crap! It is not the german quality Grundig it was before the brand went down ...

Do you remember Grundig "Fine Arts" components or the "Space fidelity"? That was the origin Grundig ... Goodbye.
