NWZ-X1050/1060 Touchscreen Walkman Lost Footage

dsc00060

Here’s some other footage of the NWZ-X1050/NWZ-X1060 touchscreen Walkman that I shot at Sony’s exhibit during CES 2009 that didn’t make it in our introduction post. I know that some of you out there will find this interesting, I think? Hopefully we can get a review X-Series unit soon – I am dying to try this thing out. Hey Sony, how about you make up for the whole under the glass thing by sending me one early?

The new Sony walkman line looks so gorgeous. I think that the design is very good – the buttons above makes your life easy when you operate the device in your pocket. It’s really nice to see that on a touchscreen device! I’ll definitely get this player (the 16Gb model would be enough for me) when it will be available. I’m very curious about the sound of this new devices. The “digital amplification” thing does sound impressive. I just hope the SQ of this devices remains the same (or improves) compared to the “old” nwz-a818 model wich I still use, and wich is my best DAP so far.
I think Sony is on the right direction.

Nice i remenber when i got my 1st 2GB then upgraded to a 4GB then now im with my 8GB, i never been a fan of touch screen but that looks cool.

the thing that i love the most about Walkmans is that you dont need any stupid software in your computer to put songs, videos, photos ect, like the stupid ipod you need itunes which i hate so much.

    great job Sony.

Yeah, looks great – BUT – will it do gapless playback?? Recent history suggests not. When are Sony going to do something about the lack of gapless playback support with their kit? I can’t be the only person in the world that finds this annoying (to the point where it will stop me buying a product). Come on Sony – do you not see the comments all over the web calling for gapless playback?

Tom, you’re not the only person in the world who cares about gapless playback, I too will not buy a player that does not support gapless playback, even if it means my next player will not be a Sony.

i agree – i want GAPLESS, converting everything to WAV to hear gapless is a work around but has problems – 1) CDs become 600MB (soon filling up the walkman) and 2) they don’t have cover art or any information as wav doesn’t support all that.

Get it sorted SONY, we want gapless.
