I hope this works out for Sony, but if the past is any indication, it will be a niche product in the U.S. ... a niche product I plan on buying, mind you!!! I don't think I will sell my iPod Touch considering I use many apps on the Touch, specifically language training programs, etc. But, it will be nice to have a dedicated music player again.

I always wondered why they dont enable "cover flow" on the PS3...it looks kinda outdated. With the power of the ps3 Sony really could create some cool effects.

Hopefully they will resolve issues with playlists in the current Content Transfer application. You can transfer playlists from iTunes, but if you delete the playlist, all it does it delete the playlist, not any of the tracks associated with the playlist. Also - they should add on-the-fly playlists to the device - my LG phone has that feature. I guess their answer to the playlist issue is that it is an open device, and fully supported under Windows Media Player and Winamp, among others.
