I've bought me a pair of these, two weeks ago in Akihabara, Tokyo. They've cost me 24.800 yen, which is roughly equal to 280 US dollars. I am content with them, even the initially mounted pair of rubber earbuds suite me well. In the field of noise suppression they perform well, although I won't claim it's near 98,4 %. There's one thing I dislike, though. Sony designed them to use only 1,5 V non-rechargeable battery. I wanted to use 1,2 V rechargeable one, but it will not work - it won't even switch on.

Oooh, I love these new MDR-NC300D's, shame they're quite expensive like the MDR-NC500D's. You do get what you pay for though. ;)
