Sony Europe is getting ready to release a SCART (RGB) and coax ouput personal DVD player with MP3, JPEG and DivX playback. The DVP-PR30 will be capable of playing all forms of CD (-R/RW) and DVD, including +/-R, +/-RW, DL, and so forth. Users will be able to set sharpness, adjust picture through a video equalizer, and do fast/slow play with audio. Other software features like a Screen Saver, Title/Chapter Viewer, and Child Lock have been mentioned. The device has a 12bit/108MHz Video DAC and a 192kHz/16bit Audio DAC with a 96kHz/24bit digital audio output.
