Do you read Sony Insider? Has it inspired you to purchase, or (hopefully not) sell Sony stock (e.g. SNE)? How can Sony Insider cater to you? I think that if we build a smart group of investors as regulars here that it could be powerful. Maybe allow for you guys to do guest blogs. I want to bring more financial discussion to the site because I think its very interesting. Please let us know.

First, I don’t own Sony stock, but I have been keeping an eye on them for a year or so.
Them in this case is the stock, as I have been happy with a lot of Sony products through a lot of years.
But since I’m from Europe, I also have to take into account the exchange rate.

But I don’t see the the relationship between your current news and the added value of opinions of stock holders.
The average stock holder doesn’t care about cool gadgets, they only care if that cool gadget sells well.

And don’t forget that the stock exchange is just like a casino.
It’s treacherous and defies any logic. Well, it defies my logic. ;-)

Don’t forget that last spring/summer almost everyone was aware of the possible subprime problems.
Hell, it was already known June 2007: http://www.foreclosuredataonline.com/blog/foreclosure-crisis/the-subprime-mortgage-crisis-how-did-it-all-start/

Now can anyone explain to me why it took until October 2008 before it really hit the stock exchange?
Well, one explanation could be that the banks could “hide” their losses for a while, but at one point the truth reared it’s ugly head.

Yesterday was a good day for the DJIA and if you think that Citi is representative for the majority of the financial companies, its looks like we can finally look up again. I wouldn’t be surprised though if Sony stock will lag a little, as Sony is more dependent on consumer spending and less on corporate profits.

But again, the market has defied my logic before, so who says it won’t do that again…

Sony Insider is a great site that provides all Sony related news in one place.

It will truly be a ‘insider’ site if the site was well connected internally with Sony. Bring rumor news before Sony presents them to the public.

I recently bought shares fo Sony stock when it was $15. The new restructuring of the divisions will bring efficent communications and collaboration among Sony Hardware and Software. Hopefully this will result in a product that a 5 year-old can use without being a tech geek!
